Maui firefighters say a brush fire in Maalaea Mauka that has burned 4,100 acres remains at 90 percent containment as of Friday afternoon. Firefighters and state forestry workers were mopping up hot spots and will continue to do so until sunset, according to a 4 p.m. update.

Below you will find a list of emegency shelters open on each island. If you choose to relocate to a shelter, don't forget to bring a 3-day supply of medications and pet food. In some cases, the shelters do not provide food or water - so intend to bring your own. You should also take with you your own bedding and other emergency supplies. Shelters in bold are pet friendly, those with pets must have them in a pet carrier or cage for safety.
