The Hawaii Health Department announced 18 new cases of COVID-19 today. Fifteen cases are on Oahu, one case on Kauai, one Maui county, and one case is pending determination of location.

Where we stand

The Hawaii Health Department reported only two new cases of COVID-19 today but the increase brought the total statewide cases to 900. Both new cases are Oahu adults associated with a known case and they have been isolated. The smaller count follows yesterday's spike of 27 new cases.

The state Department of Health reported 27 new COVID-19 cases today, with 17 of them tied to an Oahu funeral. Of today's new cases, 23 are from Oahu, 1 on Hawaii Island, 2 on Kauai and 1 in Maui County. The operator of city's bus system also said one of its bus drivers has tested positive, the first case of a driver who fell ill while in service.

The Hawaii Department of Health reported 16 new COVID-19 cases yesterday. Thirteen of those cases were from Oahu. One case is reported on the Big Island. Two cases were residents who were diagnosed outside of the state.

The total number of COVID-19 cases at Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Makiki now stands at 15 with the addition of three positive cases at the state's largest skilled nursing home facility.

The Hawaii Department of Health reported 27 new cases of COVID-19 today, the largest single-day spike since early April. Twenty-five are on Oahu and one each on Maui and Kauai. State officials sought to ease worries brought on by the high numbers.

The Hawaii Department of Health reported 18 new cases of COVID-19 today, all on Oahu. Fifteen of the cases are Hawaii residents; three others remain under investigation. All but one are adults.

The state’s largest skilled nursing facility said today that three more residents have tested positive for COVID-19. Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Makiki said on its website that a total of four residents and one staff member are now confirmed to have the virus.

Starting today, residents of Hawaii will be able to travel between islands without a mandatory 14-day quarantine. But when it comes to longer-distance travel, the timeline is much less certain.

Where we stand

The Hawaii Department of Health reported 8 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday. All are on Oahu. The increase follows Sunday's 5 new cases, Saturday's 17 cases and Friday's 15 infections.

After adjusting for updated testing information, the number of COVID-19 cases statewide now stands at 736. The number of deaths remains at 17.

The state health department now reports the number of cases stands at 675; deaths remain at 17.

The case count for Oahu is at 441, Maui County at 120, Hawaii Island at 81 and Kauai at 21. There are 12 cases diagnosed out of state. Some 617 people have been released from isolation.

Hawaii recorded another nine new coronavirus cases Saturday, eight on Oahu and one diagnosed out of state. The nine are being investigated, the state health department said.

Hawaii Gov. David Ige is lifting the 14-day mandatory quarantine for interisland travelers beginning on June 16. The move was widely anticipated and heavily advocated by Lt. Gov. Josh Green, who wanted it lifted earlier because of the low number of new COVID-19 cases in the islands.

Hawaii recorded three new coronavirus cases again today, the second day running of that many cases after a spell of zero or single new cases. 

The state health department now reports the number of recorded cases at 649; deaths remain at 17. The case count for Oahu is at 419, Maui County at 118, Hawaii Island at 82 and Kauai at 20. There are 10 cases diagnosed out of state. Some 605 people have been released from isolation.
