The state Department of Land and Natural Resources and the City and County of Honolulu, in partnership with the United States Army Corps of Engineers, will be holding a town hall meeting on the Ala Wai Flood Risk Management Project next Tuesday.
We'll find out what resulted from the Ala Wai Challenge and what's next to improve the watershed. We'll talk to the winners of the challenge and learn what innovations they considered implementing to clean up one of Hawaii's most visible waterways.
If you had the chance to redesign the Ala Wai watershed, how would you go about doing it? We’ll talk to the organizers of the Ala Wai Design Challenge to explore that very question and to see if this is fact or fantasy.
