SEEQS School Update: Buffy Cushman-Patz
Buffy Cushman-Patz is the leader of the School for Examining Essential Questions of Sustainability (SEEQS). In 2010, she was awarded the Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship. She has taught math and science in public, charter, and independent schools in Hawai'i.
Chuck Boller is the Executive Director of the Hawaii International Film Festival, which opens tomorrow.
Ambassador Chas Freeman is a retired career diplomat with Middle Eastern, African, East Asian and European experience. He was the US ambassador to Saudi Arabia during operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm and a former State Dept. Director of Chinese Affairs. His latest book deals with the shifting balance of prestige between the US and China. He'll speak about that this afternoon at the East-West Center.
Movie and TV Guidebook: Luis Reyes
Luis Reyes and Ed Rampell are the authors of the Hawaii Movie and Television Book, which comes out this month from Mutual Publishing.
