Different Perspectives on the Constitutional Amendment
A heated debate is getting hotter. It’s over a ballot question that asks whether or not we should amend the state constitution. The measure would give the state legislature the power to tax investment property to fund public education. We talked with a group of UH professors who refer to themselves as the Hawaii Scholars for Education Social Justice, the Hawaii State Association of Counties, and the Grassroots Institute for their perspectives.

Lois Ann Yamanaka broke through barriers with her book. Saturday Night at the Pahala Theater. It was one of 50 essential books recently chosen by Honolulu Magazine.
Yamanaka and other authors will read their works as part of a gala event to mark the 40th anniversary of Bamboo Ridge Press on OCT 20th. The theme this year-- Not Pau Yet.
